For approximately the last 20 years Ireland has had a boom economy rightly called the Celtic Tiger. Driving from county to county, you can see the results of this two-decade windfall, new houses, shiny cars, and public works projects in just about every large and mid-size town in Ireland. The emergence of a New Ireland was born out of the ashes of the old out-of-date one. Nowhere is evidence strongest than in Dublin. Several dozen new edifices now circle the skyline, new homes for the newly rich. Proof that the Tiger is dead; Dublin condos are now going for 100k Euro less than their original asking price. Feel sorry for the poor slobs that bought at 259k Euro
