Vietnam is Communist?

the sight of glorious communism

Vietnam is communist? When one travels to Vietnam, you are not immediately struck with over emphasis of it’s current communist government. Vietnam is not considered one of the axis of evils but this booming country’s communism runs deep and wide, albeit a little watered down.  You don’t have to travel in fear here like some of it’s more forceful cousins like North Korea or Cuba. Vietnam’s communist evidence isn’t hard to find though, if you keep an eye open for the beloved Ho Chi Minh (Modern Father of Vietnam) or Uncle Ho as many refer to him , and the ubiquity of the hammer and sickle.

Take a gander through the communist countryside and the city sidewalks of Saigon and Hanoi for this collection of treasured communist propaganda.

  1. Hi!
I really adore your blog. I’m vietnamese myself, and I really really miss my ‘home’ – Vietnam. I sincerely recognize Vietnam as my ‘home’ while some guys over here (I live in Germany) dont. I miss Vietnam already so much, I’ve only been away for 4 years. But on Chinese New Year I’m flying back over there!!! I’m so so SO glad, thats why I also cried when scrolling through your blog. I miss my home so much and all your pictures brought back delightful memories. Including Vietnam’s “smell” and the endless honking!! (I love everything about Vietnam, really. I’d sleep so well when there’s a lot of honking!”

    Thank you so much!
