Rest Your Tired Head: Cheap Bangkok (boutique) hotel
Want a clean, hip yet cheap Bangkok hotel but at rock bottom prices known in SE Asia? Try the Loft 77 Hotel, a cheap Bangkok boutique hotel. That’s right its boutique and it’s cheap but before I tell you how cheap, keep reading.
It seems a reasonable expectation that the quality of a hotel is directly correlated to the amount you pay. The higher the dough, the more splender one finds. As I am noticing in Thailand, this rule doesn’t seem to apply. So, it was with great jubilation that this traveler found a slice of uber cool paradise at a price that still astounds in the sometimes quite pricey city of Bangkok.
Loft 77 Hotel delivers on all accounts of what I would expect from a 3 star American hotel, think the Aloft hotel chain. In fact, it’s cool, clean lines and minimalist décor seems more in tune with something from Europe rather than Bangkok. Before I tell you the price per night for this palatial estate, here is what you get with your room.
- Queen size bed
- Private bath/shower with plush towels and toiletries
- Complimentary breakfast
- Cable TV
- Refrigerator and mini bar
- free coffee and kettle in each room
- Stylishly decorated rooms
My only gripe is the location. While located on Sukhumvit, a popular road/area of bangkok, the hotel is quite far from the ‘action’ of the city and nearest skytrain. This is remedied by a short taxi ride.
Hotels.com is my new BFF as I found this cheap Bangkok hotel while on this site looking for decent non roach/mildew infested accommodation. Boy did I strike it rich! Ok, so, you have read the article this far so I should tell you what it costs. I plucked down only $30 USD. I am still reeling in that price too. Take a look at the photos of the place along with the room and you can judge for yourself if I got a good deal.
