There are hundreds of benefits to traveling solo: paying more for accommodation, getting lost, eating alone, having to suffer soley through the gaps in language and communication. But my most favorite is of course, taking the ubiquitios picture of myself in some town.

I am so envious of people who can take good photos of themselves using the arm stretch method. I always wind up looking like a parody of myself, something from a funhouse mirror. Maybe my arms aren’t long enough? LOL. These are great shots, and great mementos. Very cool.
